![]() NITSUKO Mod Key DM 16 programming System Reinitialization Go to handset 1 Do not lift the handset Press # (Wait for SPK to light) Press * (Hear DTMF, then tone) Press Hold twice Wait ten seconds. -> All programming has now been erased. Defaults are now in place. <- ************************************************************* Program 98 - Use Pulse dialing Go to handset 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Press 98 Press the now illuminated SPK. ************************************************************* Program 99 - Use Tone dialing Go to handset 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Press 99 Press the now illuminated SPK. ************************************************************* Program 1 - Global Speed Dial Numbers To use speed dial, press MEM followed by the two digit bin number (Up to 17 digits are allowed for speed dial numbers) Bins 11 - 30 are mapped to speed dial numbers for the entire system. Bins 01 - 10 are customizable for each station. Before programming, define the speed dial numbers for bins 11-30
keypad 1 is pause keypad 2 is flash keypad 3 is pulse Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Press MEM Enter the bin number (11-30) Press the outside line you wish to use Dial the number (up to 17 digits) Press SPK Repeat for each number. To erase a store number, reprogram the bin without entering a number. At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Press MEM Enter the bin number (11-30) Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 2 - Line Access By default, all six CO lines are enabled. For each station, we can block access to any outside line or lines. For the worksheet, the first group of 6 cells enable access to a particular line. 1 = access allowed, 0 = access denied. The seventh cell is a customization enable for that line.
Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter the station's extension number (01-16) (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the seven digits from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Repeat entering extensions and values till done. Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 3 Line Ringing By default, all phones ring when any incoming call occurs. We can restrict the ringing criteria on a station by station basis. The first six characters in the mask control if a station rings for the corresponding CO line. Character 7 governs ringing when the phones are in night mode. Character 8 governs ringing via the door chime. Example:
Worksheet:
Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter the worksheet number for that station (21-36) (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the eight digits from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Repeat entering extensions and values till done. Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 4 Paging Groups/Toll Restrictions By default, there are no paging groups, and there are no exceptions from toll restrictions set in Program 5. This section allows assigning a station to one of four paging groups, and allows privelage for making toll (long distance) calls. Paging group ID field (1st three characters) 000 no paging group 001 paging group 1 010 paging group 2 011 paging group 3 100 paging group 4 Allow exceptions bit 0 = obey the global toll rules 1 = let this station be exceptional Allow area codes 0 = don't restrict area codes 1 = only allow the area codes enabled in program 5 Allow leading 0 (Operator calls) 0 = operator assistance allowed 1 = operator assistance denied Allow leading 1 (Direct dialing) 0 = 1+ dialing allowed 1 = 1+ dialing denied Example pattern
Worksheet
Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter the worksheet number for that station (41-56) (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the first three digits from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the last four digits from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Repeat entering extensions and values till done. Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 5 Dialing Digits allowed and Toll Exceptions The first two digits of this form specify the maximum number of digits allowed when dialing. (decimal 03 to 25 range allowed) Next comes a maximum of six allowed area codes. Example pattern
Worksheet
Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter the worksheet number for that station (61-76) (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the first two digits from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the three digits for each area code from above for that extension (wait for the confirmation tone) Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 6 Line Options These bits assign properties to the external CO lines. The first bit, when set, indicates that this line originates from a PBX, and that no toll restrictions apply. The second bit, when set, allows the use of this line to bypass the extension's restrictions set in programs 4 and 5. The third bit, when set, indicates that this particular line uses tone signalling. The next three bits assign the line to a line group. Line Group 000 is reserved for paging equipment. Line group 001 is the default group, and I have no idea what the purpose is for groups 010 through 110. Example
Worksheet
Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter the worksheet number for that line (81-86) (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the six digit entry from the worksheet (wait for the confirmation tone) Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 7 Intercom Ringing/Privacy Release The first bit indicates if calls are to be announced by voice, or by ringing. 0 = ring on speaker phones 1 = voice announce on speaker phones The second bit indicates whether extensions can join in or monitor an outside line call. 0 = Eavesdropping allowed 1 = Eavesdropping denied The default on these phones is to have ringing annunciation, and to disallow snooping. Example 1 0 Voice announce calls on speaker phones. Allow eavesdropping. Worksheet 92 _ _ Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter 92 (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the two digit entry from the worksheet (wait for the confirmation tone) Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 8 and 9 Make/Break Timer This is used to modify make and break duty cycles when pulse dialing, and I'm too lazy to document this here. ************************************************************* Program 10 Flash Timer This is used to modify hook flash signalling to the CO, and I'm too lazy to document this here. ************************************************************* Program 11 Hold Recall Timer Hold recall causes the extension where a call was placed on hold to be re-rung after a period of time. (Don't forget the customer on hold!...) The default on these systems is to have no hold recall. The hold recall time in seconds is given in the following table
etc. The entry value is the binary representation of the hold recall time in seconds divided by 5. Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter 96 (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the eight digit entry from the worksheet (wait for the confirmation tone) Press SPK ************************************************************* Program 12 Pause Timer The pause timer sets the interval between dial tone and dialing for speed dialing. The default is 1.52 seconds. The entry is the eight bit binary representation of the desired delay divided by 0.08. Example Delay 4 seconds. 4 / 0.08 = 50 = 00110010B 0011 0010 value 50 in decimal corresponds to 4 seconds. Programming procedure At Station 1 Do not lift the handset Press # Enter 97 (wait for the confirmation tone) Enter the eight digit entry from the worksheet (wait for the confirmation tone) Press SPK | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
